School

Not to much to say. Our house did close, and we did make a profit! So although it was a stressful afternoon that day with the appraisal, we had it pretty easy.  Selling our house at the first showing and not living in the house for showings. My friend Heather has her house on the market right now and has 3 little ones and a doodle (dog)- that sounds like 0% fun to me.

Anyone watching big brother? That is my one hour of escape 3 days a week. Love bb16!

I've changed my mind for the 10th time and pulled the kids out of one place (there goes our deposit and first two weeks tuition) to put them in more of a daycare/preschool type setting. My boys are use to 8-5:30 daycare...9-11:30 just wasn't going to cut it. I've signed Ryan up for 5 days a week, mornings and Connor will be in a charter kindergarten 5 days a week 8:30-3. We have to pack his lunch, search for the best bargain place to buy school supplies, get him a lunch bag the whole 9. He is so excited! PS LL Bean has the cheapest lunch bags and free shipping in case you are in the same boat.

Now that we live in a town where we have no one to invite to a certain someone's 3rd birthday we are hitting the road to the coast line. Ocean, beaches, cooler climates and drum roll.....LEGOLAND.

Connor Swimming

I've met 3 four year olds at our pool- all can jump in and swim unassisted and can dive down and get rings. I am always amazed at Connor holds on to the wall, me, or wears water wings. All 3 Mom's have said, give it two weeks. Well it has been 3, look at this kid go!

moving verse

I need to focus on the positive and put my attention towards God and being a role model for the boys. Read this tonight...could it be more perfect for us?

Isaiah 43:18-19
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.” (NIV)

Heaven on Earth- Lake Okoboji

If you have met me, which hopefully you have (stranger blog stockers creep me out) then you know that we LOVE Lake Okoboji. This year was funny because the temperature was between 65-78. Any other year I would have been so disappointed for a freezing summer vacation. Now that we live in 110 degree weather the cold, wear sweat shirts and jeans and socks weather was just what we wanted in our vacation.

Dave & Val, GG, Grandma & Grandpa, Travis & Cynthia all there to help out with our crazy rambunctious boys. Great week.

Moving day

Packed us up yesterday- truck is at the house today. Said all our worldly possessions will be out of the house in five hours. Crazyness!
I owe neighbor Stef about 1.5 million for all her help since we vacated the house. Watering flowers, letting people in, keeping an eye on the place, sending us silly videos. Now a days people just don't look out for one another- but this lady does! Glad God put you in my life Stef!

The shoe has dropped

Ray's been gone for almost 9 hours so the ugly crying has started. Today the buyer of our house was suppose to close on his current house. When my cell rang with our Agent's number I knew it wasn't good.
Our house has appraised $4,000 below what we were suppose to sell it at. On top of that we had agreed to pay some of the buyers closing costs so we are going to be out even more. I'm trying to be creative and come up with a few tricks up my sleeve but what if this all back fires and we end up not having sold our house and it being on the market still. Ahhh. Maybe we should just move back to our precious little house??

Relocations are hard. I keep hearing that. Stop telling me that. We are not at ALL a typical relocation. Usually you pack up all your stuff and move to some new cool house that you have picked out, usually that is an UPGRADE from where you just moved from. For us we are in a temporary assignment in temporary housing aka an apartment, with neighbors below us and on all sides of us.

Usually you don't have your stuff for 4-6 days we are going 14 weeks with out our stuff. If I have a full garbage can then I have to put on my shoes, put on the kids shoes,  take the kids out side with me, let the dog bark from the apartment, walk on the HOT black top and throw the garbage away. Similar experience to go get the mail. Did I mention we are used to a garbage in the kitchen that is heavy duty and doesn't tip over when the dog smells something good? Did I mention that we sleep on a cheap mattress and have back aches all day? Did I mention that I'm used to a back yard where I can let my dog out and don't have to walk her and hear from the mailman everyday that she needs dog shoes on because the ground is too hot and her pads are going to blister?

So no this isn't a typical relocation, this is a TEMPORARY put your life on hold, try to deal with it relocation.

I'm putting this hormonal girl rant on the blog so that in hopefully a month or two I can look back and smile on how far I've come, how things are finally getting easier, hopefully by then I will have met a friend and hopefully I will know how to get to the grocery store and library with out my GPS kind of small victories and can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

My kids are 21 months apart

And rambunctious doesn't fully begin to explain how they are when I am alone with them at; the grocery store, pool, bank, lunch or anywhere in public.
Love this article!
