Last Day of Kindergarten and 2nd Grade

Ryan finished his first year at Pine Grove. He did morning K with Mrs. Lehman. He had a great year. It was amazing with only 18 kids in the class. He did great and became good friends with: Daxton, Quentin, Lincoln and Bridget.

Connor had 22 kids in his class, and his teacher was Linda Christensen. She was sooo good for him. He really took off in reading and math. Connor started KUMON in November and that has been the most amazing thing for him. He has become an independent learner and a hard worker. His best bud is Bowen.
I'm on the neighborhood social committee and I have to say, this years end of year party was the best yet. 5 bouncy houses, DJ, Shaved Ice, Hot Dogs, Photo Booth (which myself and the other Moms took part in). Fun fun fun. Now ready for an amazing summer!
*Look at this stud, he has become a running machine!

After discovering a leak on the dining room ceiling I've removed all the shower tiles and we are currently getting bids to in large the shower and then retile.

Mother's Day 2018

We got to you Mattias' families mountain home. It was amazing!
 Everything was so green!
We hiked and hiked and hiked

So much Moose & Bear Poop. I was walking around like the Step Mom in Parent Trap hitting two sticks together.
"The Black Castle" in the woods as Mattias calls it.
I was spoiled with love and FUDGE! Great weekend.

Tennis

Both boys are in their first ever tennis lessons. It is what spring is all about, sitting on the grass, soaking in the sun and hearing those balls bounce.

End of the year busyness

My favorite author Jen Hatmaker recently posted on instagram how the last 4 weeks of school are simply AWFUL. As I write this I feel my stomach knotting up, and frankly I need to get to the yoga studio. It seems every day their is a bio fold project needing to be done, a $.50 needing to be collected, a packed lunch made that I wasn't anticipating, a field trip on the horizon. BARF. I just want days of sleeping in, with nothing on the calendar. We are down to 3 and a half weeks of school, yippee!

This month has been soccer soccer soccer. Connor has soccer practice M, W, Th with games on the weekends. Connor is still doing his advanced math, daily (they said it is like eating, you have to do it every day to survive) and starting this week we have the summer off from piano lessons. Tennis starts next week for both boys. Hoping they can learn to volley back and forth a little so this summer we can make tennis a family affair.
I've had a lot of fun the month of April researching my ancestry and these are two of the paintings of ancient relatives.

New play doh set, dentist/orthodontist themed
Connor went for the FIRST time to take your son to work day with Ray. He met our Parker Co Mayor, Mike Wade (his hair is crazy to help raise money for childhood cancer research)
The tree house is in constant construction mode, adding a board here or there
Connor showing off his muscles after a soccer game
We went to the football stadium to watch babysitter Katie play a high school girls soccer game
