He has risen!

Happy Easter! Many blessings to be thankful for.
I am super proud of all four of us for looking in the general direction of the camera and no one complaining when I said we are taking a family picture! Way to go tri-pod.

Connor had to hold his Easter Present....work man goggles.

The Judge

My 27 year old New Yorker Cousin who thinks I am a weirdo for having kids before the age of 40 sent me this link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/francesca-kaplan-grossman/judging-others_b_2481016.html and I TOTALLY relate. Why do all of us Mom's come down so hard on ourselves? Probably because there are so many Super Mom's in my life that make mine look like a train wreck to ME and to Strangers at the grocery store; ie Connor tonight who was walking backwards as I yanked him down the aisle, Connor freaking out that we were not buying everything he wanted, freaking out that I wouldn't let him ride in that "car" cart and running out in front of a car in the parking lot. Yep, that was me the parent of the unruley one. Did I mention that Connor pooped on the floor Sunday and then Boji ate it. Yea, that's my crazy life.

Here is some parts of the link that I felt I couldn't have said better about my life:

"I find myself a little bit jealous of other women a lot of the time. When they are a little more together, a little more successful -- in wrangling their children, in their wrap dress -- than I am.

That's not a good way to feel, and I know it gets me nowhere... the wonder-if-I'm-going-to-make-it-ness of motherhood hasn't gone away just because we've made it in to the workplace.

I want to do it all. I want to take my kids to the park with the appropriate snacks in little eco-friendly glass Tupperware. I want to do it in four-inch heels while my smartphone collects important, career-advancing emails in my inbox.
But one thing I know is that trying to do it all is a exercise in futility. My days look less like the above and more like me trying to tie my son's shoe at the park while the swing hits me in the back of the head. Like getting little disapproving looks from very organized mothers when I peel a half-eaten granola bar out of my bag unwrapped and hand it to my toddler. It looks like me checking my phone once I am at work every twenty minutes to be sure our nanny (daycare) isn't telling me my slightly flu-like daughter is now very flu-like and I need to turn around and come home to take her to the doctor. "

So Nat and all you other "non parents" your right I am the crazy weird one!

Bacon, Bruise, Opossum

In that order. We got to do a quick pop in play date with Casey Carter & Evan....(maybe one day Travis will be done with this Fellowship and will not be at the Hospital when we are in town). Casey I often thinks is the only person in the whole world who gets it. Get's me. My life. Two little boys, who are out of control, loud, wrestling fools who can melt a Mothers heart with a hug or a kind word.
First in true Casey spirt whipped up an awesome breakfast for us (am I the only person who has never cooked bacon in the oven?). It was delicious, def. doing that from here on out.

Then the boys being boys tripped all over each other playing in a 2ftx2ft area and Carter squaled/yelled/cried and had a big old bruise on his cheek.

Casey: "Jill what is that thing"
Jill: "It's a Opossum" looking out their back window along the fence line
Casey: "It probably has rabies if it is out during the day"
Jill: "Yea it probably does"
Does anyone else think this is crazy? I wish I took a picture, he was just walking around the back yard. Only in Cleveland.

The Nickels do have toys I promise but all these 4 Little Monkeys were interested in were beds.

Busy Busy Busy

We are never going to find our "new normal" our rythm or even our lunch if we keep up to this new pace. After my first full week at work Ray went on a "3 day man weekend" so no grocery shopping or "weekend chores" got done. Then this last weekend we had a birthday party and bible study on top of our normal church routine. Then this week I started taking my real estate licensing classes 2 days a week, Ray worked one nightuntil 8 pm and last night was my night to volunteer at our food panrty at church. As i'm typing this Ray is gone at a work dinner.
This weekend we have our nieces 1st birthday (how the heck is Emma Clare 1 already) so another crazy weekend and the house will not get cleaned and meals for the week will not get made.
So no fancy camera pics but here are 3 that I snapped this week on my phone.
