Double Trouble

We couldn't have planned it better....me and gal pal Kristie have due dates 1 day apart! We got together on my day off to reflect on life since we graduated from Miami and how much our lives are going to change (her more so than mine as she is having twins!).

My good friend Casey Nickels is one of those Martha Stewart types who with two young active boys still has time to have a great blog, make delicious recipes and crafts and blog about all of it. Well today I'm stealing from her and posting pictures of some recent things I've whiped up, delicious!
The Cajun chicken pasta is Casey's recipe...makes a lot and is super good for the next week. The picture of Great Grandma Lois is a cherry bar thing that was a big hit with vanilla ice cream and Vul bar's are the most delicious self indulgence out there, peanut butter, marshmellows, m&m's...so good!

1 month

Only 1 more month until we become a family of 4...hopefully sooner as I am extremly uncomfortable and every day this week is suppose to be in the mid 90's.

Arnolds Park

I have so many childhood memories of going to Arnold's Park at Lake Okoboji. Connor won't remember this but he had a great first year experience going on every ride he was allowed to.

This year I'd say was a lot tougher than last year because we have a 21 month old who is very "independent" and doesn't take no for an answer. Our biggest worry was him walking right off the dock. It wasn't the same with out cousins Lizzie and Natalie but being 35 weeks pregnant I had to go now instead of waiting 2 more weeks to our normal vacation time.

The crazy part of the trip was the second night when this drunk guy decided to take a boat out during a crazy thunder/lighting/rain storm at 1:30am and crashed it up on the shore right in front of our house.
