Hi

Hi,
Been awhile huh? Connor at this moment is asking for a sandwich so I better getting typing....
What have we been up to? V-day party at school, followed by a 1.5 hr delay for snow one day, followed by a girls weekend with 8 of my college roomies to Nashville TN. In Nville I saw them taping a scene to the TV show Nashville which was kind of cool even though I have never seen the show. Also went to the Bluebird Cafe which was AMAZING. They had for the biggest song writers with like 20 number one hits their to perform their songs. So cool. Saw "hipsters" everywhere we went. I can't say that I knew what a hipster was before this trip, now I most certainly do.
Ray and the boys survived 4 days with out Mommy and Ray asked Connor to make me a sign for when they picked me up at the airport. Kids are so literal, Connor actually drew me a stop sign. Cute.

Got a new BLACK Honda Pilot yesterday! Ray and I almost lost our minds and put the disgusting carseats right in the car so we could drive it this morning to the last indoor soccer game of the season. Glad my Chai Tea kicked in and sense returned and I threw the cloth in the washing machine and a container of chlorox wipes later deemed them decent enough to be put in my delicious smelling new car. Keep the leather seats clean my God sent children or their will be hell to pay.

True love

No mushie Valentine's talk. I'm in love with my $30 make over (paint and pulls) of the boys bathroom cabinets. Now just need to get rid of the sink handles that are shiny silver and gold.

Sanding is perhaps the devil, as well as taping. Now realizing from this picture I need to paint the trim under the cabinet. Will the sanding, taping, painting, cleaning of brushes ever end?

I'm taking a girls long weekend trip (9 college room mates) this week to Nashville, TN. Never been to TN and as an extra bonus my bestie Bridget moved there this summer so I'll get to spend Sunday seeing her new house, the kiddos and Matt. Looking forward to this break from house projects and some me time!

Heart Breaker

Love the boys new Valentine's Day shirts. Of course showing their personalities Ryan would pose for a picture just by asking and Connor even with a bribe was not participating.

Had the first floor "de-birched" and now we head up stairs. Hallways are done, dreading bedroom trim.

Cancer awareness

As I'm getting ready to go on a girls weekend with 8 of my college roommates (Absolut Angels) I can't help but realize we are getting older! We won't drink as much as our college days but will likely be twice as hung over. We won't talk about boys but instead will ask which wrinkle cream seems to work the best. Our non labeled wardrobe will likely have stains of dried milk or throw up.
Getting older also means we are more likely to know someone with cancer. I read a quote today from my dear friend Kristie's Mom who has been battling cancer for 5 years now. "To thrive in life you need three bones, a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone".

As we start our first full year in CO I WISH for friendships to start and blossom. I will continue to rely on Raymond and God as my BACKBONE and our new church group for sanity and my sweet boys provide hourly FUN in my life.

January 2015

We were busy. Soccer consumes our weekends (which all four of us are 100% into). We went bowling last weekend and Ryan was actually winning until the 8th frame.
The boys love each other, only play with each other and according to Ryan are best friends. So why won't they put an arm around each other and smile for the camera? Well the day has finally come.
