Christmas 2018

This year my parents flew in, just in time to see Ryan's Christmas school performance.

Hot Tub

Every night in the winter cold months I take a hot bath to warm myself up. This year for Christmas Ray spoiled myself and the boys big time and got us an 8 person, 400 gallon hot tub.
We had to have a 13x13 ft stamped concrete patio poured to hold the beast.

We decided this year to make a whole MEAL. I was insane, I think I made 14 dishes the day of. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, home made mac n cheese, artichoke dips, cranberry dips, meatballs, shrimp, rolls, desserts, it was way too much for the day of a party. Everyone came (15 couples), everyone had a good time, every one left with garbage. Next year we will need to somehow make sure the "good gifts" are actually good, hmmm.

November

The boys have been doing boy scouts this year. It is more of a commitment then we expected so we are thinking this is a one and done year experience. In November we did get to go to a cool adventure place and the boys got to shoot bee bee guns, bow and arrows and climb a rock wall.
For thanksgiving we ventured north to Steamboat, our first time making it their. We went to Mike & Casey and skied two days. Cool town, good skiing and Connor and I got to ride a two man outdoor roller coaster in the snow.

Happy Halloween

Connor said he was embarrassed to wear his costume because he was in a tuxedo. Dud you picked your costume, now put it on!!!!!
Clarke kids went with us to an indoor trick or treat at the high school. It is supposed to snow/rain tomorrow for the real deal so glad we could load up on sugar ahead of time.
I had 9 1st grade Mama's over this week and we made reverse wood signs that say "believe" on one side and "mistletoe" on the other. For Christmas.

September & October

Wow 45 days from my last post. This month there were a few times I thought about posting, but when you get a call from your Parents saying "Mom has cancer" it kind of makes your mind go loopy. Luckily after just a month of "having cancer" she is now cancer free. My Mom had a routine (every 10 year) colonoscopy. When the Doctor came out he said he saw something he didn't like and was worried it was "pre cancerous" so had a biopsy of the mass. He called the next day to say it wasn't pre-cancer but actual cancer. After I'd guess 3 weeks and 8ish scans/tests the doctors have determined it was an early stage and they have removed it all. Pray Jesus!!

Ok so what else have we been up to?
Both boys played flag football for the first time. Both boys made it to the tournament. Ryan's team lost after double over time and Connor's team took home the W. The biggest learning curve was the mouth guard, lol. Leaving it in your mouth is apparently a teachable moment.

I'm registering Ryan today for Winter Basketball. He's going to play with Daxton & Quentin so he's excited.

Tahoe

Tahoe is 14 weeks and already seems HUGE to Ray and I. We are basically every day like, "why did we say we wanted a GIANT? He's still not sleeping through the night. We have him sleep on the main floor in a crate, so at this point we think his barking is more of a, "hey Mom and Dad, I'm lonely" then truly I need to go out".

All things Master Bathroom Renovation

Just like every other inch of our house, we have changed out most of the master bathroom. I'm putting it all in one post so I can go back and find what I need when I need it.

This project unlike all the rest was a HAD to, we had a leak in our dining room ceiling that exposed a bigger problem behind the shower tiles.

Ryan's Birthday Party- 7

The big 7 was celebrated with a FIRST sleepover for Quentin, Daxton and Lincoln. Connor was able to have Bowen spend the night too.
We took them to SkyZone to jump out their sleepover anxiety and then they were suppose to sleep in the tent in the back yard. That lasted 10 minutes. At 11, 2 were asleep, by midnight all were asleep. Was not expecting the 5am wake up call.
