cheers!

Apparently Sam doesn't do a lot of cheers-ing in his 2.5 years of life as he was unsure what Connor was asking of him. I am so glad I get a day off every week to enjoy watching the kids grow up. These two are going to grow up great buddies!

Golf Anyone?

Ray has golf league every week so he is always practicing his short game in the basement while the boys play. Ryan is now starting to get into it.

Ear Tubes

Ryan got his ear tubes today. Trips to Childrens Hospital always puts life in perspective of how lucky we are, what is really important in life and how at the end of the day we are all human. I was nervous that he would be fussy and upset since he couldn't eat all...who am I kidding, it's Ryan...he was happy and had all the nurses ewwing and awwwing over him.

Little Pumpkins

Last Wednesday I planted 10 pumpkin seeds in a solo cup and 7 days later I planted them in the ground. Hopefully in 90 days we will have 10 little pumpkins.

Tubes

Friday Ryan goes to Childrens Hospital to have tubes put in both ears. He has constantly had water on his ears since 9 months old. What do tubes look like you say? View this picture to see. We are asking God to have the surgeon take his time, keep us parents calm and for Ryan's hearing to significantly improvement (right now he is only hearing at 15%).

Pinterest Kid Idea

If you have never heard of or gone to www.pinterest.com I suggest you do. It is basically all these ideas through pictures. I saw this cute idea and one night this week we were outside playing with sidewalk chaulk and so I copy catted.

Car Seat

With the one year birthday approaching it was time to get Ryan a forward facing car seat (yet another big expense with having kids). Unlike the pumpking car seat where you just need a base in each car and can bring the pumpkin seat in anyones car the big boy forward facing Graco Nautilus you need one for each car. So $400 later and we are in business.

Mini Travie

I took this picture today and I've never thought this before this picture but don't you think Connor looks like a little 5 year old Travis? Wish my mom knew how to scan me pictures of us as little kids so I could show you the resemblance.

Good Bye Bottles Hello Counter Tops!

See ya never bottles, bottle brush, bottle drying rack and bottle dishwasher container things! My least favorite thing about babies has always been the bottles (I know Ray will laugh when he reads this because he has washed 90% of the bottles with Ryan). There are 6 parts to our Playtex bottles and washing 6 bottles a day get's really old really quick. Very excitted for the cabinet and countertops to be taken over by something else.

Ryan continues to be an AMAZING and easy kid. With Connor he fussed, cried and had fits on the floor for four long days...Ryan, one sippy, no problem and never looked back.

Very happy I won't be having bottles at Lake Okoboji this summer! Smiles.

11 Months Old Today

My sweet Ryan John is 11 months old today. I thought this picture turned out so neat I want to try to recreate the holding out the number one next month. I was going to say that he has not really had interest in stairs yet, but just now as I was putting Connor down for his nap I started to come back down to find Ryan on the 4th step. He goes tomorrow to Childrens Hospital to find out if he is or is not a canidate for Tubes to be put in his ears. I can't remember the last time he was off antibiotics and they said he can only hear at 15% so we are fairly positive they will say yes.

Ryan continues to be an awesome sleeper going to bed at 7:30 and getting up at 7:30 and takes two long naps a day still. He is starting to eat solids and my mind keeps going to him in one month digging into his birthday cake which I know he will love!
In Ryans hand you will find: a paci or a golf ball almost always
He is most happy: all the time, but especially if his mommy holds him or he is in the basement with all the toys
His favorite game is: picking up a ball and throwing it to Boji
He can: wave and clap and say mama and dada
He has how many teetH;  7 and an 8th poking threw
His bad habit is: he has biten a teacher once and his brother once (we were proud of him when he bit Connor because Connor deserved it)

Landscaping

Last week we had Delhi Landscapers come out and make a landscaping bed and plant 13 different bushes to our side yard. Very happy we did this it adds so much appeal to the house!

Jill's Thoughts

Ok i have no  pictures but lots of thoughts to share...kind of random but stay with me

• Connor has gone from not wanting to put a toe in the water to getting in the baby pool, then the first step of the big pool, the third step, jumping in off the side, being thrown up in the air, thrown up in the air and going under water. Now he "swims" to the steps or ladder if you hold his belly. Yay Connor!
• Ryan is a full fledged walker. I am very proud of him even though we had nothing to do with it. He has very fat (wide) feet just like Grandpa Dale and we are having a heck of a time finding a pair of shoes that will fit them
• Are you watching the ticker on the right side of the blog? How are my kids both about to have a birthday?
• Yay summer LAKE vacation is almost here and this year Andy, Alya & Maive are coming with us YIPPPEEEE!!

Happy 4th!

No big surprise that Connor was not the least bit afraid of a sparkler. Had an amazing night in Ashfor Glen Ct with sparklers, margaritas and neighbors that they write about in movies...these are the memories and traditions I hope we have every year on America's Birthday.

4th of July Weekend

I couldn't button the bottom of the onsie but besides that I was able to get Ryan to squeeze into Connor's first fouth of July outfit. * Can't wait to see pictures of Emma Clare in her first 4th of July outfit!
