Big brother season 16 started this week! Question, it says 8/7 Central, what does that mean to me, pacific time?? Reister's remember my audition tape for season 10? Time is flying.

Today Ray gave me a break and I escaped to get my nails done- guess what? The lady next to me said her family moved here 7 years ago from Dayton? Say what? She said I won't miss the horrible OH weather, she gave me housing advise and school info. Thanks God, needed that friendly home away from home stranger today!

10 years

Our ten year college reunion is this upcoming weekend. A lot of college friends are going but with our move we obviously can't make it. Neighbor and Miami Alumni Stef made a day trip of it with me on Friday. Besides making saw dust out of chips in Stef's car I'd say it was a success.

Stef found a huge park for the kids to play at while we scarfed down Bagel & Deli.

Then we went to the bookstore- I couldn't bring myself to buy a new T- shirt. My guess is no one in AZ knows where MU is.

My start neighbor asked the college cashier for recommendations on a joint with kid desserts and beers! One happy hour and two happy Mons later we called the day a success!

Things we know nothing about

Things in the sun are hot, seems easy to learn, but if you didn't grow up in AZ and you are 2 or 4 it actually is a hard concept. Doors, knobs, handrails, the ground. Speaking of hot the postman told me I need to buy shoes for the dog as her paws are going to blister.

Cactus and desert birds. Cactus are awesome but the owls or birds or whatever they are called that live in them and whoo all night long are sooo annoying.

Do you even know what SAHM is? Stay at home Mom aka Jill. Survived day one! Did WAY too much. Major grocery shop, lunch with Ray, pool, target made dinner etc.

Ended the day with a homemade pumpkin pie. 

Moving along

Only a few more days then see you later alligator.

Tomorrow is my last day at work then clean the house and go to the airport.

Did I mention....

The temporary assignment house had no a/c day one for Ray?

The TA house still has no working oven/stove or hot water? 

Pantry is down to vitamins and cereal

Neighbors

Living on this street has been one of the biggest blessings the last four years. Our neighbors watch out for us and help us in so many ways. If we need help they are there. Every night after dinner we come out of our houses one by one. Parents gather to talk while all the kids start up a game and go play. 

Tonight Stef gave the boys presents and look at this amazing cross stitch she gave me. Does your neighbor know your families eye colors and favorite colors (for the shirts)?

8 years ago on a cold rainy day just like today we said I do!

Today two of my maid of honors joined me at the Dayton Mall play area and Auntie Anne's for pretzels!

The Big Move

If you read this blog but we don't talk on the phone regularly you might have been wondering where I have been and why I haven't been posting.
Life.Is.CRAZY
My eye has been twitching the last 48 hours with the amount of stress that we are under right now.

About 2 weeks ago we found out we were being relocated. Off to AZ we are going! Ray has already been working there for about a month leaving me to lead the troops. I've met with 3 Real Estate Agents (which means extreme cleaning), had the landscaping mulched, the walls touched up etc. We had a HUGE garage sale this weekend and got rid of some junk collecting cob webs in the basement.

We have been assigned to work with a relocation company, they needed a ton of documents, then Ray and I this weekend completely emptied out our walk in closet so that it looks HUGE for the professional pictures that are being taken today of our home. Our house will be listed Friday. Pure crazyness!

We just found out our temporary housing assignement- hopefully it will be a nice place for us to live...has an amazing pool that the boys should enjoy! I tried to quit my job but since I had just accepted a promotion as my boss is getting ready to retire kind of had them freak out and they said I will work remotely through at least July and then we will re address my work schedule and their needs for me.

Keeping a house "show ready" is the main cause of the eye twitching. Ready for the fun part of a new location and a pool is what I'm trying to keep my eye on! We will have weekly maid service at our temporary assignment. I can do this........
