Tahoe

Tahoe is 14 weeks and already seems HUGE to Ray and I. We are basically every day like, "why did we say we wanted a GIANT? He's still not sleeping through the night. We have him sleep on the main floor in a crate, so at this point we think his barking is more of a, "hey Mom and Dad, I'm lonely" then truly I need to go out".

All things Master Bathroom Renovation

Just like every other inch of our house, we have changed out most of the master bathroom. I'm putting it all in one post so I can go back and find what I need when I need it.

This project unlike all the rest was a HAD to, we had a leak in our dining room ceiling that exposed a bigger problem behind the shower tiles.

Ryan's Birthday Party- 7

The big 7 was celebrated with a FIRST sleepover for Quentin, Daxton and Lincoln. Connor was able to have Bowen spend the night too.
We took them to SkyZone to jump out their sleepover anxiety and then they were suppose to sleep in the tent in the back yard. That lasted 10 minutes. At 11, 2 were asleep, by midnight all were asleep. Was not expecting the 5am wake up call.

Tahoe 10 weeks

I am exhausted. This dog does not sleep, well he does but only during the day. 1.5 hours is his usual bark, wake us up time.
He's got sit down and is actually really good on the leash. In the beginning he would lay down and we couldn't get him back up but now if I pull when he's laying down he will get up and walk.
What he isn't good at is potty training, I take him out nonstop and he still doesn't give me any warning before he pee's on the floor.
When we got him at 8 weeks he weighed 10lbs, now he's up to 15.5lbs
 Showing off his "sit" abilities
his favorite place to sleep is under the couch
I can't decide if him and Boji are best friends or worst enemies

New School Year

Yikes, this is the last week of summer. I haven't even gotten a chance to sleep in all summer (because the contract came every day at 7am). It was a summer that went way to fast and we didn't get a lot in. We need to plan ahead so we can camp a ton next summer.
Ryan will be in first grade, Mrs. Rutkowski
Connor will be in third grade, Mrs. Wallace

Tahoe

DAY ONE:
Introducing the next Moorman recruit, Tahoe. Tahoe was born May 30th, he is 8 weeks old. So here is his story so far:
About a year ago we decided Boji was getting old and wanted to get a puppy so she could teach it the ropes and make our jobs hopefully easier. We stared researching what we wanted and Ray talked me into the "bigger is better" mentality. When he travels and the house creeks at night I want to feel safe. So we decided a big doodle was for us. We didn't want a labradoodle or golden doodle because everyone we know has those. We love the temperament of a sheep dog, then found a local breeder of Sheep-doodles and that was that. Through out the wait we basically were 50/50 that the whole thing was a scam and that our deposit was feeding someone's meth addiction. Then 3 weeks ago out of the blue we got a call that puppies were here, their was one left that no one had claimed and we should drive over to Castle Rock and come meet the remaining pup.

The next night we fell in love with Tahoe. He was the first of the 6 born to Sheepdog Mom, Chanel. 4 boys, 2 girls. His siblings are; Willie, Luna, Pocky, Bruno and Wallace.

I had the boys take Tahoe across the street so he could meet his sister in a "neutral area"
Tahoe literally slept the whole car ride home. Breeder Penny gave us this blue blanket that was his Mom's so he could smell her.
I read 6 puppy books to prepare us. They all say go 1-2 hours and then take them outside to pee. Um yeah, I have my phone going off in 20 minute increments to take him out. While Penny (breeder) was giving us the low down on all things sheedadoodle (took an hour) I saw him pee on her carpet 3 times (Wide eyed emoji face). We are not doing that.

July- Okoboji Iowa

My 36th year at the lake was a success. Speaking of success, Ray and I had a lot of one on one time (something that in our everyday lives we don't get as much as we need0. We acknowledged that he has come so far in his career and we were so happy that his days of working a few hours up at McDonalds (the only place with free wifi) are over and his vacations are true vacations where we can reconnect and build family memories. We are living the dream baby!

Highlights: no dock, never seen the lake house with out a dock. 5mph no wake boat and jet ski rides (high water). Sawyer! He's alive and spent his first summer at the lake. He spent most of his time walking around while holding onto someones hands, or in his baby pool. Nick. Lizzie has a boyfriend and she let us meet him! Lizzie is my youngest cousin and truly has a heart of gold. She never speaks down about any one, only sees the good in people, has a go getter attitude and I am so happy that she has found someone who thinks she is as special as we do.

We saw two children's plays over our 14 days at the lake: the lion the witch & the wardrobe and 12 princesses. Grandma put her teaching hat back on and took over KUMON instructor duty for me each day.
GG (Great Grandma) The kids are loud and being kids, but it is good for her, right? Connor said, "GG, live to be 100 because then I'll be a sophomore in college" "Mom, I think she can make it, she's 86 and doesn't even have hearing aids yet".
You aren't moving fast enough Grandpa (Sawyer)

A new swing, and everyone loved it. Travis & Cynthia have fully embraced parenthood
We took approximately 1 shower in 2 weeks, so we documented it with pictures (Lizzie and her boy)

I've never seen Connor drawn to something more than this swing. He would come tap my shoulder and I thought for sure ask for candy and he would instead say, "Mom, can you push me on the swing?"
Ryan spent 99% of his time on the dock fishing. He is a true fisherman. His tackle box is full of little notes about things he has watched on YouTube fishing videos.

June 2018

Ryan had one of the best weeks ever, fishing twice and camping in the back yard. Dad is such a champ to do this.
If you zoom in there actually are fish on those hooks
 Bath Bomb Making
 Learning a proper knot
He was content even though he didn't catch anything at Cops & Bobbers
Dad slept on a cot, Ryan slept on the ground

Last Day of Kindergarten and 2nd Grade

Ryan finished his first year at Pine Grove. He did morning K with Mrs. Lehman. He had a great year. It was amazing with only 18 kids in the class. He did great and became good friends with: Daxton, Quentin, Lincoln and Bridget.

Connor had 22 kids in his class, and his teacher was Linda Christensen. She was sooo good for him. He really took off in reading and math. Connor started KUMON in November and that has been the most amazing thing for him. He has become an independent learner and a hard worker. His best bud is Bowen.
I'm on the neighborhood social committee and I have to say, this years end of year party was the best yet. 5 bouncy houses, DJ, Shaved Ice, Hot Dogs, Photo Booth (which myself and the other Moms took part in). Fun fun fun. Now ready for an amazing summer!
*Look at this stud, he has become a running machine!
