True love

No mushie Valentine's talk. I'm in love with my $30 make over (paint and pulls) of the boys bathroom cabinets. Now just need to get rid of the sink handles that are shiny silver and gold.

Sanding is perhaps the devil, as well as taping. Now realizing from this picture I need to paint the trim under the cabinet. Will the sanding, taping, painting, cleaning of brushes ever end?

I'm taking a girls long weekend trip (9 college room mates) this week to Nashville, TN. Never been to TN and as an extra bonus my bestie Bridget moved there this summer so I'll get to spend Sunday seeing her new house, the kiddos and Matt. Looking forward to this break from house projects and some me time!

Heart Breaker

Love the boys new Valentine's Day shirts. Of course showing their personalities Ryan would pose for a picture just by asking and Connor even with a bribe was not participating.

Cancer awareness

As I'm getting ready to go on a girls weekend with 8 of my college roommates (Absolut Angels) I can't help but realize we are getting older! We won't drink as much as our college days but will likely be twice as hung over. We won't talk about boys but instead will ask which wrinkle cream seems to work the best. Our non labeled wardrobe will likely have stains of dried milk or throw up.
Getting older also means we are more likely to know someone with cancer. I read a quote today from my dear friend Kristie's Mom who has been battling cancer for 5 years now. "To thrive in life you need three bones, a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone".

As we start our first full year in CO I WISH for friendships to start and blossom. I will continue to rely on Raymond and God as my BACKBONE and our new church group for sanity and my sweet boys provide hourly FUN in my life.

January 2015

We were busy. Soccer consumes our weekends (which all four of us are 100% into). We went bowling last weekend and Ryan was actually winning until the 8th frame.
The boys love each other, only play with each other and according to Ryan are best friends. So why won't they put an arm around each other and smile for the camera? Well the day has finally come.

NYE

Documenting that we spent our first New Year's Eve with the Haerings! I like that you can see the four personalities of the kids in these shots.
Lindsey & Ben our are really true only "friends" at this point. Love them!

It's not a zit

"It's not a zit, my Mom already popped it twice" - Connor

So yeaaaaaaa, it looked like a white head. It didn't really pop, it did bleed. So after it returned I just thought I didn't get it squeezed well enough. After the second time ok I realized it, little young for puberty. After two-ish months?? We finally went to an expert.

Just a common mole, will go away in 6 months to TWO years. Say what? Craziest thing is Stef's (my bff Ohio neighbors) son (Sam) aka Connors bff has the EXACT same thing.
Either this or that. Either way it is nothing and will go away.

Snow

Supposedly this is unusually large amounts, 9 inches of snow yesterday.
I was headed out the door this week and Ray said, "you look like a Parker stay at home Mom". Well ok then, I guess I do.

White trim

We have slowly been de-birching the house.
Before
After
Window and chair rail done, baseboard still to go.

I told Ray we should have done more these last two weeks....but since Connor was born I've never felt more rested and relaxed so the trim can wait!
